The Tasmanian Devil is rightly known for it’s fearsome attitude and nothing confirms this more than an open mouthed growl. These teeth on show and that powerful jaw stretched wide combined with a guttural scream can be terrifying. Whilst often more bluff than true “attack” it is not good to get closer than really needed since they rarely back down and can inflict major damage. It is a sad reality that a life shortening facial tumour caused by a virus infection has wreaked havoc in Devil populations over the last 20 years. there were one or two “clear” areas across NW Tassie but it appears even these are now experiencing a spread of disease. Eye catching is probably the best way I’d describe this print, again something of a talking point or maybe for that fan of the animated version!
