Workshops 2025-26
Mercury chasing “Emu rising” Milky Way to dawn ->

Astro-photography for beginners
Astro-Photography for beginners! It’s not as hard as you might think and almost any modern digital SLR or Mirrorless camera with a standard or wide angle lens can deliver impressive results. Once you book and pay a small place holding fee for the workshop, I will email you some pre-workshop information and also a “cheat sheet” tailored for your specific camera(s) and lenses. The workshops themselves have been put together in two parts; a) an hour or so of theory, and b) image capture by putting the theory into practice in the field. Nightscape and Astrophotography is totally weather dependant so another advantage of splitting the content is that should the weather work against us, the theory can still go ahead indoors and the field work can be re-scheduled as a last resort.
I limit the course to a maximum of 5 attendees so I can focus on sharing as much knowledge as possible but also set a minimum of 3 attendees on the night to make it viable. A small deposit is also required to secure your spot(s) on a given night.
