Wolf in the Canadian Rockies Open Edition Standard Print

from $110.00
  • This is an open-edition print in either a lustre (semi-gloss) or matt finish.

  • All sizes are listed in inches with a 3:2 ratio

  • Images are printed borderless and ready for mounting/framing

  • Shipping can be arranged for Australia or world wide as tracked poster tubes.

There is a story behind each image and this is no exception. Taken whilst traveling in Alberta in the Canadian Rockies during mid-winter (February) with deep snow all around and temperatures down to as low as -22C at night. These amazing animals become a lot more adventurous as food becomes more scarce and harder to hunt down. The gaze in the eyes here does nothing to conceal the constant scanning for dinner, catching any scent on the breeze. The re-introduction of the wolf into the Canadian Rockies has brought about slightly fewer but far healthier herd animals, which in-turn has has led to a better balance of forest and open grassy clearing.
